Family Reunion/October 2009

Hi everyone,

Looking forward to the Mooney family reunion this October. Hope we will have a good turnout as it is always so much fun seeing everyone and catching up. My son Brian joined the DC Fire Department so we now have three generations of fire fighters in the family, Mike's dad, Mike and now Brian. He's only been on a little over a year and has already been hurt twice, one being a burn so pray for his safety. Samantha, my granddaughter is getting through her Leukemia treatment thanks to all the support she has been given. She will go to Disney World in October to trick or treat as her wish. Make a Wish foundation will make her dream come true. They are such a wonderful foundation giving so much to sick kids. Hope everyone has a healthy 2009 and looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Please write your news on the blog so we can all keep in touch. Love, Cousin Sharon

Trip to California

Hi Everyone,

I just came back from a great visit with Jack and his wife Lynn in California. We took a tour of Alcatraz which was really cool and also visited upstate northern California. We stayed in Santa Rosa and also two nights in Fort Brag, Ca. about two hundred miles north of San Francisco. The scenery along the coast was beautiful. We also did a Beach Walk/Patrol identifying all kinds of birds and wildlife. I learned alot. Jack does volunteering to count and identify different bird species on the different beaches for ecology purposes. It was great having time with Jack and laughing about old times. He seems to be enjoying retirement and is having fun with his new Iphone. The weather was great but now back to snow and cold. UGH! Love, Cousin Sharon

Message from Aunt Miriam

Hi everyone! Aunt Miriam ( of the Clark persuasion) wanted me to Print this message to the Mooney blog.
She is deeply concerned about the upcoming election and being a woman of strong faith in her Catholic
church, she would like everyone to vote for the canidate who supports Pro Life(Everyone must vote for
the canidate of their choice of course.) But in her love for her family and her faith , she asks that we prayerfully
vote for the person who would protect the unborn. I submit this respectfully for her, since she cant do it on her own.
Much love from the Murrays (Kathi and Jim)
